Went to Amsterdam yesterday to visit brotherdearest and to do some shopping. It was a great day: cold, but sunny. So Hans let me borrow a bicycle, such an awesome way to explore the city \o/

Love these cow statues.

Brotherdearest didn't mind holding on to my bike while I took touristy pictures:)

Yes, that is a smartshop, how very Dutch, ahem. But I took this photo because of the beautiful building from 1881.

Check out the details: there are dragons above the entrance, children on the outside wall and how about that wonderful stained glass?

Another dragon on the bridge across the Keizersgracht.

We sat down at Bagels & Beans after I got all the things on my list (I'm not really fond of shopping, so it was in and out of shops while brotherdearest stayed with the bikes;)

The whole wall was handpainted with cute bagels and... you guessed it: coffeebeans:)

Around 17.30 we cycled back to Hans' apartment and said goodbye. Then I got on a tram back into the city to go to the tiny Uitkijk arthouse for 'The Artist'.

I got a tram back to the station around nine and had time to get a slice of pizza (with shoarma:) and a bottle of lemon yoghurt before catching the 21.26 back to Zwolle.

It was a GREAT day. Had a good time with brotherdearest and got home with a bag full of goodies, including two glittery skulls from Dom that were not on my list *grins*
